Company Overview

Dean Baldwin Painting was founded in 1965 in the State of Florida and until 2003 when this location ceased operations was the primary paint provider for the major repair stations located at Miami International Airport. Companies such as Avborne Inc.; Commodore Aviation Services, Miami Modifications and others used our services exclusively each for over 17 years.

In 1999, Dean Baldwin Painting, LP expanded its operation by acquiring a 165,000 sq. ft aircraft strip and refinish facility in Roswell, New Mexico. The hangar complex has six temperature-controlled bays with air filtration systems utilizing two independent integral waste management systems. The facility is conveniently located in Roswell, New Mexico airport and currently employs approximately 165 full time employees.

Dean Baldwin Painting LP. successfully accomplished ISO 9001:2000 registration and received its certificate on February 23, 2006. This accreditation affirmed the Dean Baldwin commitment to achieving the highest quality standards in the aircraft refinish industry. The facility is currently compliant to ISO 9001:2008.

The company further expanded the operation in July 2003 when it was awarded a long-term contract with ST Aerospace San Antonio to provide strip/paint services for all paint requirements at their San Antonio, Texas facility.

In August 2004, the corporate offices were relocated to Bulverde, Texas and Dean Baldwin Painting became a Texas Corporation.

By the spring of 2012, Dean Baldwin Painting will be operating its second full service facility. The operation is located just 65 miles north of Indianapolis at the Grissom Aeroplex in Peru, Indiana. The facility is currently undergoing renovations to convert it to a state of the art, strip and paint facility with two wide body and two narrow body fully equipped temperature controlled hangar bays. The facility will accommodate aircraft as large as B747 and B777 size aircraft.
