"The painting of 356 and 357 is completed and I would like to commend the Dean Baldwin crew for their exceptional job in the performance of the painting, the paper work, and especially the focus on safety for the personnel and the aircraft. My observation that they follow in their safety practices almost ensures there will not be any damage to equipment for the customer. Ralph Cox came in and was impressed with the facility management and work. This is by far the best paint facility I have been to except for Boeing Seattle and their work is on par with them."

2-Year Record On 31 July, the 309th Aircraft Maintenance Group marked the milestone of two years since the last delivery of a late aircraft. The squadron commanders have done a great job, over the past 24 months, to achieve this milestone. Some squadrons have surpassed the two-year record, but as a group, they have worked together to ensure that they are all successful, and have placed thier own success in jeopardy to support a sister squadron.
