Made in America is built on values—service, accountability, and pride in the work.
In our Made in America series, we’re spotlighting the people who help power American aviation from the ground up. This month, we’re proud to feature Sara Singer, a U.S. Army veteran whose background in safety and leadership reinforces the standards, discipline, and integrity that guide our work every day at Dean Baldwin Painting.
After serving 3 years in the U.S. Army, Sara joined Dean Baldwin Painting for the career growth, stability, and opportunity to apply her skills in a meaningful way. While she has been out of service for nearly 20 years, her more recent experience as a contractor for the U.S. Air Force helped shape a seamless transition into her role. Especially her time serving as the Safety Officer for the 18th Medical Group, the largest outpatient facility in the Indo-Pacific region.
“In my last role as a contractor for the U.S. Airforce, I was the Safety Officer for the 18th Medical Group… and the skills that I acquired there made for a seamless transition into this role.”
Sara shared that her military background continues to influence how she approaches her work, shaping her work ethic, discipline, and pride in contributing to aviation. In safety, she explains, those principles aren’t optional. They’re foundational. She credits the Army’s core values as a daily guide that directly translates into her responsibilities and the expectations she holds for herself and the teams around her.
“My military background instilled the seven core Army values… Each of these values is needed for a career in Safety, therefore, my military background influences every day of my future.”
To Sara, being part of a Made in America company is personal. It gives her pride to know the work supports American jobs, communities, and industry while also contributing to domestic manufacturing in a way that promotes national security and economic growth. She also shared a unique perspective as a woman and a veteran, noting that American manufacturing, especially in aviation, carries a legacy worth honoring and continuing.
“As a woman and a U.S. Veteran… the first thing I think about when it comes to manufacturing in aviation is Rosie the Riveter… I am proud to support and continue this legacy today.”
Sara sees Dean Baldwin Painting contributing to the American economy and aviation industry by creating jobs, supporting local communities, and strengthening the aviation sector. Working for an American-owned company deeply resonates with her sense of service and patriotism, and she’s proud to represent a company that supports American jobs, strengthens the aviation industry, and serves communities. Her message is simple and clear: supporting a Made in America company strengthens U.S. jobs, communities, and the aviation industry.
Sara’s story reflects the heart of what Made in America means at Dean Baldwin Painting—strong values, strong standards, and people who take pride in contributing to American aviation. We’re grateful for veterans like Sara who bring leadership, discipline, and a commitment to safety into everything they do.
