Dean Baldwin Painting, LP. announced today that Mike Kapsa has joined the organization as chief inspector. Mr. Kapsa will report to the general manager and serve as quality assurance manager for the repair station, ensuring compliance of all federal, state, and other regulatory directives and guidance, as it relates to airworthiness, at the repair station.
Michael (Mike) Kapsa brings over 30 years of experience to the Dean Baldwin Painting team. Mike began his carrier with the U.S. Air Force as crew chief on the KC-135 aircraft. He later joined Southwest Airlines where he contributed to their organization for over 20 years. Mike was the manager of contracts responsible for the oversight of the Southwest Airlines outsourced maintenance.

In 1999, Dean Baldwin Painting, LP. expanded its operation by acquiring the 165,000-square-foot aircraft strip and refinish facility in Roswell, N.M. The facility has six independent temperature-controlled bays with environmentally friendly air filtration systems utilizing two independent integral waste management systems.
Dean Baldwin Painting, LP. successfully accomplished ISO 9001:2000 registration and received its certification on Feb. 23, 2006. This accreditation confirms Dean Baldwin Painting’s commitment in achieving the highest quality standards in the aircraft refinish industry. AS9100 accreditation is slated for 1Q 2011.
